The place is unique, is in a convenient location, and the staff seem helpful once you break the ice. However, but could stand some serious upgrades and a good clearning.

The hostel is really nice and located in the wonderful area of Kadikoy! The rooms are wide and staff is very nice. I felt at home more than in any other common hostel I've been before!

Brand-new hostel - I was in fact one of their 1st guests, the hostel had just opened a couple of days before I arrived. So far only the 1st floor is finished, the 2nd floor is still being painted. It was a former Greek villa and is based right in the center of Kadikoy, a fashionable student and entertainment district. Being the only hostel on the Asian side of Istanbul, it is close to Sabihan Goekcen Airport and can be reached directly with local bus E-10 from the airport. Ideal for late night arrivals, no crossing of the Bosphorus necessary, just get off at Kadikoy and walk for 5-10 minutes. One of the few hostels that is not run by foreign staff. No air-condition but very spacious rooms compared to the crammed hostels in the overpriced tourist center of Istanbul. Quiet location in a side street, nice backyard with a cafe and an exhibition in the basement. Breakfast not included, but it can be ordered separately.
